A vintage ''Rover" chair that launched Ron Arad's career and his edition company, One-Off LTD. Arad, then a design student, set to show that you could make a good design using readily available items, the seats of the chairs were sourced at various London area scrapyards all from the ubiquitous Rover 800. The frames made from pipe fittings from a hardware store. The result was so impressive that Jean Paul Gaultier purchased the first pair, and Ron Arad became a household name. This early pair is in all original finish is in amazingly good condition with no tears, holes or repairs to the leather or the steel frame. Very comfortable. The reclining mechanism works perfectly. A rare early example in great condition.
